Here are two of my shape pattern ideas which I did today. I could use gift wrap papers like these?

DONUTS

In my opinion donuts win "the best bakery -category" anytime, even if there's tough competition following in second places like cheese cake and macarons. Today I went shopping for christmas presents and winter clothing and it's just nice to generally enjoy the xmas spirit in stores (and now it's maybe the best time for that because when the time gets closer to the busiest holiday season shopping rampages, it's not so fun anymore).

The donuts that I chose also represent my favorite colour palette of this season - light mint green, white, black, brown and a hint of other pastels.

CUBICO

I decided to do something with gradients for a change. I usually don't use them, because my style is often more "matte" and two dimensional. This cubical/trianglefull form is just something that popped into my mind, the name "cubico" is also there only because I wanted some writing underneath the drawing itself kind of like there would be in an album cover.

MACARON DREAMS

I have had a long time dream of baking macarons, but I have only tasted them once and drooled a million times always when I have seen them in a bakery window or in a magazine/food blog. Yesterday I went to the library and borrowed a super cook book that had one recipe for macarons! Maybe now I can try to make them.

Of course I'm just preparing myself for the idea of actually baking, so I wanted to draw some ideas first, haha.

FLU

Well, here I find myself having a flu AGAIN, but the last time was many months ago so I feel okey with that fact - at least, I'm living in Finland now so when you go out the weather might surprise one with the coldness even if there's no snow yet. There was " the first snow" already in October but it melted away like it usually does.

Title tells it all, now I have had many days full of time to surf through weheartit.com, watch movies and enjoy different tea flavors (I'm very well hydrated now) and of course - to draw ! And I have even had the time to write post cards and decorate them. But it's also important to sleep a lot and rest in general, so now I'm off to continue peacefully my hopefully final sick leave day!
